Back to Basics

(BEFORE)

So I decided to take it back to the basics, and by that I mean that I love doing Befores and Afters. My model used here is the beautiful Ve’netta.R. Shes an aspiring model and I have taken her under my wings. So stay tuned for more from her. I gave her 2 looks here and we just played in makeup. Fun Fun!

AFTER (first look)

‘here we did a simple look: defined eyebrows, creme foundation, bright pink  lipstick and simple brown shadow on the eyelids. All Makeup by MAC Cosmetics

 

AFTER (second look)

‘for this look I did a cut crease on her eye lids, with yellow and some black and we used black lipstick on the outter linning of her lips and then I used some gold shadow in the middle of her lip then finished with a lipglass, I also used a little bit of black shadow on her cheek just to complete this fun ‘dangerous’ look..”

What Have you been doing??

hey, I feel so bad that I havent blogged in a while, been doing a few different things and I have to take a deep breath and just come back here to where it really all started…thank you to those who have continuously supported me….soo anyway…lets get started….how are you??…my schedule got crazy busy and has died down, but its about to pick up again, I love and need the breaks inbetween. I have mostly been networking and honing my craft, my drive is soo crazy right now….and I love that…please feel free to email me or leave a comment here if you have any questions…I have discovered so many things in the world of makeup and I will be sharing some of the products that I love and I promise to give some away too since I have sooo many….so what have I been doing??

1) I did a shoot a few weeks ago with a student at New England school of photography (Nesop)..she was great and we tried a red eye with minimal foundation and a slight blue smoky eye, the model was great and here are some of the shots, none of these are edited, these are raw footages that you are getting here..lol  ….check out www.blanckphotography.com for more of her work..

2) I also did a few shoots with www.illwear.com and here are some shots from that….I will be adding more pics to my OFFICIAL website WWW.CHEZ-AKURI.COM there you can see more edited pics, you know cleaner work….but here are some shoots for this designer, the photographers were also great and I enjoyed painting all these beautiful faces…

3) I did a show with Harvard business school and the look here was subtle eyes with bright bold lips, none of these girls were “models” but you would never know…so beautiful…i enjoyed this alot…

4) I volunteered to do makeup for one of my friends Kris.D fundraiser for the Race for a cure, she reached her goal and these 2 ladies won raffle for some makeup time with me….fun fun….i took these with my phone as you can see the poor quality of the pics..lol

ITEM OF THE WEEK!

Hey Guys, I seriously have not blogged in a while, I am sorry…I miss doing it, I have just been busy…lets get to it….my item for this week is………….. Vincent Longo Gelli Gloss in “Vita” (Juicy watermelon), ladies it looks like Jello, feels a like jello, but feels soooo good on your lips without being overly sticky…its my new crave and it comes in a pot instead of a tube….muah….I Love discovering new things as far as makeup brands and I have been trying a few things, I cant wait to start giving away some products…Stay Tuned..and Stay Sexy…

hey guys, so I been kind of working on trying new colors, especially on myself. I rarely ever use anything in the red or pink family on myself, but this is the first time that I am trying pink eyeshadow and I must admit that I freakkkking love it. what do you guys think? did I pull it off?? would u wear it no matter your skin complexion?? I say do it, I have a new found love for pink…….until next time..stay sexy….
